Watchers

At least partially. I won't be able to do any and all requests, so I'm keeping it to sprites of characters/objects, not entire scenes.
Uploaded some small stuff I've been doing when I've had a little free time.

Hey people.
I come from /wg/, where I posted the "8-bit mashup" image to see if anyone liked it. It seems that was the case.

For nearly 10 hours and 220 replies I kept fulfilling the requests of unknown Anons, partially because it was about time that /wg/ got some original content, but mainly because it was fun. The thread has now been archived. [link] (warning, 18+ ads)

Constructive criticism is awesome.

Quick questions and answers:

"What boards do you visit?"
/v/ and /wg/ mainly. Others when needed, like /g/ and /ck/.

"How old are you? Where are you from? What's your real name?"
I prefer to remain anonymous.

"Will you do X from game Y?"
I might. Leave me a comment on this page, link me a good sprite that's not too complicated and I'll see what I can do.

"OMG U R SUPA SUPA KAWAII WILL YOU B MY FRIEND? ^______^"
No.

"Hey, could I be your friend here on DA?"
I'm not quite sure for what reason, but okay, I can go with that.

"Do you do this for a living?"
Nope, it's just a hobby.

"What's your tripcode?"

And to people who know who I am, please do not use my real name or the alias I usually go by. I do not seek fame.

Hi
I really love your work. How did you make these, and what soft do you use ?

Thank you.
I use 3ds max, but any 3d application would do the job just fine. I've explored different methods, but my current favourite is to have a plane with the original sprite, create boxes with rounded edges according to the picture, and then colour them.

I didn't even notice the round edges but it's really great.

Do you use 3dsmax?

You may like this script I made: [link]

Let me know if you find it useful.

A very neat script, but nowhere near as fun. It goes from doing something into just.. Clicking a button. Thanks, but no thanks.

Not like anyone has requested anything recently anyway.

Well it gives you a head start at least, then people can get on to animating and doing other cool stuff with this art form!

Cheers
